A tribute to her mother, by Jane.

My mother, Norma Jeannine Stickle was born November 27, 1927.  She was the oldest of four children and grew up on a farm in Woodford County (Versailles), Kentucky.

Jeannine married at eighteen and had one child, at 21.  Mom always wanted to dance but never had the opportunity.  She swore if she had a daughter, she would dance.

Mom enrolled me in a dance school when I was seven years old.  Jeannine thrived with my enjoyment and was proud of my accomplishments.  When I graduated from high school she encouraged me to open my own dance studio.  I chose Kentucky, close enough, but far enough from home (Ohio) to feel independence.

Well, I still love to dance thanks to my mother's love, encouragement, and support. Mom, I only wish you could be here.

The tradition carries on: Now I have three daughters (Joni, Megan, and Sarah) who love to dance.
